Police asked to book local politician

Data Ganj Bakhsh Zone Town Planning Wing asked the police to register a criminal case against PTI Lahore president for alleged illegal construction here on Monday.

MCL’s Data Town Zone building inspector sent a notice to Civil Lines police, stating that a criminal case should be registered against one Khalil-ur-Rehman under section CRPC 1898-154 and under section 132 (3) of Punjab Local Government Act (2013). It said that as per schedule 8, para 24/25 of Punjab Local Government Act (2013), a proper construction map should be approved before making any construction whereas the accused failed to do so. In another case, LDA Director Mumtaz Ali Khan filed an application to Lahore CCPO for registration of a criminal case against one Dewan Mohiuddin, an office-bearer of PTI Lahore chapter, for allegedly constructing five rooms in the name of the party office on the inherited land of Mumtaz Ali Khan on 49 Lawrence Road.
