KARACHI: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) Regional General Manager Sindh Muhammad Farooq has warned all the cable operators to follow licence terms and conditions during their operations and in case of non-compliance, legal proceeding shall be initiated against violators which may include fines even cancellation of their licences, says a press release.
He said that all those cable operators whose licences had expired must renew their licences immediately; otherwise Pemra would legally proceed which included confiscation of equipment, imprisonment of a term which might extend to four years.
