HARIPUR: The district administration here on Thursday warned the shopkeepers of stern action if they continued renting out space in front of their shops to pushcart owners as the land belonged to the government and these encroachers were a constant obstacle in the flow of traffic and mobility of shoppers.
Led by Additional Superintendent of Police Zulfiqar Khan Jadoon, the officials of traffic wing of the police, TMA and revenue staff visited the main bazaar, Loharan bazaar, Mochi bazaar and the Circular Road Eastern and Western and found scores of pushcart owners standing in front of shops after paying a small amount to the shopkeepers.
