Lawyers ransack Muzaffargarh Judicial Complex, thrash employees
MUZAFFARGARH: After the lawyers’ attack on Lahore’s Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) on Wednesday, melee ensued inside the court premises of another city in the province, a private TV channel reported.
A lawyer and an officer of the court came to blows which spilled into a call to arms to a group of lawyers that attacked the judicial complex in Muzzaffargarh. The lawyers wreaked havoc inside the judicial complex, they hurled flower pots at the employees of judicial complex and hot words were exchanged among the guards of the complex and lawyers. Sources revealed that two employees of the judicial complex were also injured during the commotion. The lawyers also stopped the media from coverage and snatched mobile phones from reporters. After this incident, Advocate Shahbaz Liaquat submitted an application at a police station against the court bailiff and a constable for booking them under anti-terrorism law.
