Qaim Ali Shah reveals secret of his fitness

ISLAMABAD: Former chief minister Sindh and senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Tuesday appeared before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi in fake bank accounts scam with Regard to Roshan Sindh project and recorded his statement.

According to sources, during the interaction with the investigating team of the NAB Rawalpindi Qaim Ali Shah recorded his statement and submitted the replies to the questionnaire in Roshan Sindh Project. It was his second appearance before the NAB team within 10 days in Roshan Sindh Project.

During the tenure of Syed Qaim Ali Shah as a chief minister Sind, the contracts for solar lights in the different districts of Sindh were awarded in violation of rules. Qaim Ali Shah said when he received the notice from the NAB then he got to know that the inquiry of this case was made two years ago in Sindh and NAB even in his case had itself written for closing this case. “Whenever NAB sends him a notice he will appear before it,” he said. He said the NAB so far not yet questioned him about the fake bank accounts scam. He said this case did not come into jurisdiction of the NAB as it relates to Sindh. “There was a perception that the political victimisation was being going against the PPP,” he said.

Asked about the secret of his fitness at this age, Syed Qaim Ali Shah said with smiling on his face that he was now more than 80 years but his heart was still young. “I walk a lot and not fond of any other things,” he said.
