KARACHI: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) held its 22nd convocation. Shazad Dada, CEO Standard Chartered Bank was the keynote speaker.
The ceremony conferred degrees to over 1100 graduates in business management and other disciplines. This is IoBM’s largest graduating batch since the institute’s inception in 1996. Mr. Dada said it is heartening to see that 12 female students received gold medals out of the 14 recipients.
He emphasized the need for men and women to work for the progress of Pakistan. He discussed four important things: to have a sense of purpose, accept the benefits of failure, remain positive and show kindness and compassion. He said that as a nation we have to create bright future for the young generation. Mr. Dada advised students to work for the less-privileged and help them uplift their lives.
Addressing the gathering, Bashir Janmohammed, Chancellor IoBM congratulated the parents for their efforts who provided the best education to their children. He advised graduates to focus on honest living and give something back to society.***
