Mysteriously abducted by some unknown kidnappers, who are now demanding ransom, Dua Mangi has not been released as yet. While provincial wide protests are being held for her immediate release, another Dua – Dua Mallah – a seven-year-old student of class 1, was not only strangulated to death, was also brutally raped in Thatta. Though the police have been investigating this horrible incident, they are still clueless.
Kidnappings, rapes and killings of our children and women seem to have become an order of the day in Sindh. We therefore earnestly appeal to the Sindh government to play its due role in rendering justice to them.
