ETPB takes possession of fisheries building
LAHORE:Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) took possession of the building of Punjab Fisheries Department on Friday following the instructions of ETPB Chairman Dr Amir Ahmad.
Evacuee Trust Property Board administrators Tanvir Hussain and Malik Anwar and other officials with the help of police took action to take possession of the building. According to a press release issued by ETPB, Fisheries Department had not paid rent of the building for the last five years. The building comprises five kanal and 11 marlas.
Around Rs68 million rent was not paid to Evacuee Trust Property Board despite Fisheries Department was given many notices, “said Amir Hashmi, a spokesperson for ETPB. The process of possession remained peaceful, he said. He also shared that the building would be used as an office of ETPB.
According to the Evacuee Trust Property Board chairman, action will be taken against illegal occupants without any discrimination. Punjabi contest: Punjab University’s Directorate of Student Affairs organised inter-departmental Punjabi Taakra (competition) 2019 at Al Raazi Hall.
A large number of students from various departments were present on the occasion. In the competition, PU College of Pharmacy’s Asim Hussain clinched first position, Institute of Communication Studies’ Rabia Aslam got second position and Department of Urdu’s Muhammad Mursaleen grabbed third position. Institute of Communication Studies’ Saleem Bazmi and Rabia Aslam won the team trophy.
