Compensation cheques distributed in Khyber

LANDIKOTAL: The administration on Thursday distributed Rs13.6 million for the reconstruction of militancy affected houses in Khyber district. Deputy Commissioner of Khyber tribal district Mehmood Aslam Wazir was the chief guest who handed over the cheques. Speaking on the occasion, Mehmood Aslam Wazir said they under the Citizen Losses Compensation Programme, the cheques were distributed among 76 families in Bara Akakhel area of Khyber district. The security officials were also present in the cheques distribution ceremony held in Khyber House, Peshawar. He said Rs2.60 billion had been distributed so far among the owners of damaged and destroyed houses in Khyber district.
