Two armed snatchers held
Islamabad: The Koral Police have arrested two armed bike snatchers of a gang and recovered two bikes and weapons from their possession, the police spokesman said.
The police team nabbed two armed snatchers identified as Umair Zaman Abbasi and Muhammad Nadeem Mughal alias Kaka.
Police team also recovered two motorbikes, weapons with ammunition used in crime from their possession.
The arrested persons, during preliminary investigation, have confessed to commit several snatching incidents on Islamabad Highway and surrounding areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. They are already challaned in eight cases registered in different police stations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Further investigation is underway.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed have appreciated overall performance of Koral police team and announced commendation certificates along with cash rewards for policemen who arrested these gangsters.
