Workshop
LAHORE :Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) is organising the first National Heritage and Tourism Workshop at Barood Khana in Lahore Fort from November 22 to Nov 24. Speakers from all provinces of Pakistan will be participating in the experience-sharing workshop.
A press release issued here Thursday said that the WCLA wished to reach out to government and semi-government bodies in Pakistan which were engaged in the preservation, conservation and promotion of heritage, culture and tourism in the country. It said that the main objectives of the workshop would be to explore the opportunities of highlighting and prioritising the heritage and tourism in the country, marketing of specific sites and destinations, expansion of tourism with specific package tours, learning from each other’s experiences in the field of heritage, culture and tourism, highlighting the lessons learnt during conservation.
