KARACHI: Meezan Bank Vice President Shazia Zuberi has recently been honoured with "Female Islamic Banker of the Year" Award at the Islamic Finance Awards 2015 ceremony held by Emend Pvt Ltd, a statement said on Tuesday.
The purpose of the ceremony is to recognise the efforts of the prominent Islamic bankers in the industry.
Zuberi has been associated with the Meezan Bank for the last 11 years and is currently managing Labbaik Hajj and Umrah for the bank, it said.
A pioneer in Islamic banking, Zuberi successfully managed the initiative of collection of Hajj applications through Meezan Bank’s branches for the government’s Hajj Scheme.
The purpose of the ceremony is to recognise the efforts of the prominent Islamic bankers in the industry.
