Nawaz’s food habits main reason for his disease: Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan

LAHORE:Punjab Minister Fayaz-ul-Hassan Chohan has said the prime reason for the disease of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was his food habits.

Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, Fayaz Chohan said he congratulated Sharif family for reaching London and stated Mian Nawaz Sharif was feeling quite comfortable in the flat which he had made while receiving kickbacks.

Meanwhile, Rana Manan, the PML-N MPA, from Narowal submitted a resolution in Punjab Assembly over the incident in which an Irrigation department employee had announced selling his baby after not receiving salary for one year.

Rafique Maseeh, a grade 4 employee, in Irrigation department suffered an accident while going to office in which his leg got fractured, the resolution said. It submitted that it was regretful that Irrigation department had blocked his salary for last one year and called for payment of all pending dues.

corruption in cooperatives dept: Punjab Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Social Welfare Raja Basharat on Wednesday taking notice of alleged embezzlement in properties of the Cooperatives Department Punjab, said that the lands would be transparently auctioned after being evacuated. The grievances of the affected persons of the cooperatives scandal would also be redressed, he added.

He was chairing a meeting of the special committee set up by the CM to oversee the issues of Punjab Cooperatives Liquidation Board (PCLB). Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Aslam Bharwana, the additional chief secretary, secretary law, secretary cooperatives, chairperson and secretary PCLB and other officers were also present.A detailed review of the properties and other matters of the board was taken at the meeting. Raja Basharat said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had issued clear instructions that the state lands should be freed from illegal occupants and used for the public welfare.

Meesha Shafi: An Additional District and Sessions court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of defamation suit of singer Ali Zafar against singer Meesha Shafi after recording statement of Meesha’s manager who said that he didn’t see any act of sexual harassment by Ali Zafar as alleged by Shafi but after the jamming session Meesha told him that Ali made her uncomfortable.
