Ex-Indian army general’s remarks on Kashmiri women slammed

ISLAMABAD: Vehemently condemning the statement of retired general of Indian army in which he supported rape of Kashmiri women, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said this was extremely immoral and undeniable proof of Nazism of Modi’s mindset.

In tweets, she strongly reacted to the Indian major general retired SP Sinha’s statement, widely flashed out discussed, wherein, in a television talk show, he was heard saying ‘death in return for death and rape in return for rape.

Dr Awan emphasised that the international community should strongly react to the Indian Army's sick mindset and their criminal acts against humanity. “Indian army men have become tools of BJP. The world community must show strong reaction to the criminals of humanity and sick-minded people,” she contended. Such statements, she pointed out, were an open repudiation of the claims of killer and usurper Modi government.

She paid glowing tributes to the courage, bravery and valiance of Kashmiri mothers and sisters for standing firm against the Indian oppression. She said their services and sacrifices in the freedom struggle would always be remembered, being an unforgettable chapter in history.

In a separate statement regarding the Lahore High Court judgement with regards to former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s issue of treatment abroad, she said Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly believed in the rule of law and he had been struggling throughout his political career for it. She maintained Nawaz Sharif should now realise that courts always give verdicts as per the law and the Constitution. Dr Awan said the government demanded indemnity bond from PML-N because the party had a track record that its leaders never come back whenever they go abroad. While in another tweet Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan Monday said the truth by Prime Minister Imran Khan had hit Bilawal Bhutto Zardari like a bullet.

Giving her reaction to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s statement, criticising the prime minister and his government, she wondered, “Those who had obtained NRO from Musharraf, are today talking about ideology”. She tweeted that Prime Minister Imran Khan was the hero, the face of Pakistan and the hope of Pakistani youth. “The lamps of hope will continue glittering,” she maintained.

The special assistant continued that the families and political parties, clinging on to the stinking and outdated system, had fears that if Prime Minister Imran Khan succeeded, then their ‘licence to corruption’ politics would be buried. She contended that Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan were inseparable. She added prime minister’s resolve against the menace of corruption was unshakable and would remain so.
