LAHORE A 25-year-old man was shot dead on resistance in Ravi Road police limits on Saturday. Police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The victim, Kashif, ran a fruit and vegetable shop at Sabzi Mandi. He was going to his shop when accused intercepted him and tried to rob him. The victim offered resistance to which they opened fire. As a result, the victim received injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. Police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy. They also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene. Investigation Officer Abdul Majeed said he was investigating the matter and would reach facts soon. Later, relatives and traders of Sabzi Mandi staged a protest in front of Mayo Dead House against police. Shot dead: A 27-year-old man was killed over a monetary dispute in Iqbal Town police limits on Saturday. Police have removed the body to morgue for autopsy and registered a case against unidentified accused. The victim was identified as Yasir. He ran a mobile-phone shop. The victim was on his shop when two unidentified accused arrived on a bike came and exchanged harsh words with him. Later, they opened fire and fled. As a result, the victim received injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital where the doctors pronounced him as dead. Murder case solved: CIA Police Lahore claimed to have solved a blind murder case of about two years ago and arrested two accused. The victim was identified as Abdul Rasheed and the accused as Razia, wife of Rasheed, and Muhammad Akram, his brother-in-law. According to a handout, the accused had developed illicit relations with Razia and plotted to kill Abdul Rasheed. The accused asked the victim to take his wife to her in-laws. He also asked them to pay homage at a darbar on the way. As per plan, when the victim reached the darbar, the accused was already present there. He took the victim and his wife to the BRB canal where he strangulated him with the help of his wife and dumped his body in the canal. Razia came back home and told his relatives that the victim had not returned when he went to take ice-cream at the darbar. A case was registered with Batapur police. It was transferred to CIA police which solved the case. The SSP Investigations announced commendatory certificates and cash prize for the special police team.
