Freedom ceremonies amid strict security

LALAMUSA: People Friday celebrated the 69th Independence Day with traditional fervor and zeal amid strict security.
A big flag hoisting ceremony was held at Municipal Committee and the participants were forced to pass walk-through gate. PML-N Muhammad Ashraf Devena hoisted the flag.
Jamaate Islami leaders hoisted the national flag at their office and took out a motorcycle rally.
National flags were also hoisted at government educational institutions.
The Christian community also held an I-Day function at their Church.
The PPP leaders hoisted flag on Fateh Road in Camping Ground.
Prayers were offered for the welfare and prosperity of the country.
Speakers threw light on the importance of the Independence Day in their speeches.
The locals suffered due to unscheduled loadshedding.
