This refers to the letter, ‘Sector E-12’ (August 2) by Nighat Malik. In 1989, the CDA offered plots to general public through balloting in Sector E-12, and successful applicants were issued allotment letters. But even after 26 years, applicants who have paid all instalments, are still waiting for possession letters.
This gross injustice violates constitutional rights of these citizens and is an act unbecoming of an organisation that is a statutory body. Unfortunately, the authoriy has become hostage to the greed of its employees, the paid civil and uniformed bureaucracy, pressure groups and land mafia. Will somebody intervene?
