School Education Department Punjab has notified the regularisation of Elementary School Educators (ESEs), Senior Elementary School Educators (SESEs) and Secondary School Educators (SSEs) recruited under the contract policy of 2011 and 2012. A number of teachers’ associations have expressed gratitude over the move and lauded the role of chief minister in this regard. According to these associations, over 46,000 schoolteachers would enjoy benefits of regularised services.
Training: Training of non-teaching staff of Punjab University (PU) and affiliated colleges has started at PU Institute of Applied Psychology on Monday. Dean Faculty of Engineering Technology Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, PU Director Planning and Development and focal-person of the programme, Engr Tariq Majeed Qureshi, Director Centre for Clinical Psychology Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar and IAP’s Assistant Prof and Coordinator Shazia Khalid were present. Different training sessions of ten batches will be organised and there will be 35 participants in each batch, 25 from Punjab University and 10 from affiliated colleges.
appointed: Irfan Ali, who was the Chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team (CMIT), has been appointed as Punjab Higher Education Department (HED) Secretary as Ms Irum Bukhari (HED Secretary) went on senior management course.
reinstated: The Punjab government has reinstated Khalid Ayaz, Wildlife DG, who was made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) on July 25 by the CM over illegal hunting in Cholistan. Services & General Administration Department (S&GAD) issued a notification on Monday about his posting again as Punjab Wildlife DG.
