KARACHI: A delegation of FM Radio owners met Chairman Pemra Kamaluddin Tipu at the regional officer of the authority to discuss different issues facing the industry, says a Pemra press release.
The chairman Pemra welcomed the FM Radio owners’ delegation along with Muhammad Farooq, Regional General Manager Sindh and Owais Mustafa, Assistant General Manager.
The delegation was represented by Mehdi Raza (FM107), Fahad Haroon (FM107.4), Zulfiqar Shah (FM105), Ms. Shazia Aamir (FM91), Shahid Jamal (FM106.2, Abdur Rahman (FM89), Qazi Mateen (FM100), and Arshad Kayani (FM103). Owners of Sindh Police FM also participated.
The meeting discussed different issues and problems of the FM Radio industry and its solutions.The chairman Pemra empahsized the need for promotion of national and regional culture and informed the FM Radio owners that different committees had been formed on the decisions taken in the last meeting.
He further told them that a meeting will also be held at the Pemra headquarters, Islamabad on Thursday in this regard. The FM Radio owners thanked chairman Pemra and appreciated the Pemra support for promoting the FM Radio industry in hard times.
