The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) evacuated 27,937 flood affectees from the flood-prone districts of Punjab out of which some 10,785 persons had been evacuated from different flood vulnerable areas of Layyah, 8,393 from Rahiyar Khan, 2,671 from Muzaffargarh and 2,884 persons from Rajanpur.
Spokesperson for Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Jam Sajjad Hussain said the Water Rescue Teams carried out major rescue operations in Layyah; DG Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rahimyar Khan, Chiniot and Rajanpur Districts of the Punjab. According to details provided by the Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service, some 4,262 from Sumra Nashaib; 473 from Lohanch Nashaib, 485 from Dewan Chowk, 336 from Mouza Bakhri Ahmed Khan, 324 from Basti Gurmani, 20 from Mongar, 359 from Mouza Shahwala, 1,555 from Wara Sehr, 1,072 from Basti Jakhar.
