ISLAMABAD: Canadian High Commissioner Ms. Heather Cruden on Monday called on Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali here at Punjab House.
Matters relating to Pak-Canada bilateral relations, cooperation in the sphere of security, NGOs and regional issues came under discussion during the meeting, said a press release issued here. Nisar said that Pakistan is committed to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the region and is striving for peace in the region.
We deeply appreciate the assistance of International community especially our friends for improving security situation, he added.
The minister said that a new policy regarding international NGOs would soon be announced to regulate and facilitate local and international NGOs enabling them to carry out their operations in an effective and better way in their respective spheres.Canadian High Commissioner also assured that Canada would continue to assist Pakistan for the socio-economic development and improving security situation.
