NBF publishes book on numerical analysis

Islamabad: The National Book Foundation (NBF) has published a new English book titled ‘Elements of Numerical Analysis’ jointly written by Dr. Faiz Ahmad, associate professor at the Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, and Muhammad Afzal Rana, senior scientific officer at the Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Science & Technology, Islamabad, says a press release.
This is the eighth print of this book published under the banner of National Book Foundation.
This book deals with numerical analysis from the point of view of a student or a research worker who wishes to learn the subject by self-study. This book explains each and every point with appropriate and solved examples which further. The book also discusses the merits and the limitation of the methods.
The authors have included 13 chapters in this book such as Errors in Computation, Matrix Eigenvalue Problems, Interpolation, Solution of Algebraic and Transcendental Equations, Linear Systems of Equations, Numerical Differentiation and Integration, Ordinary Differential Equations and others.
