Islamabad: The Met Office has forecast rainfall in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas for next three days, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
According to a weatherman, the rainy spell will be caused by a fresh westerly wave. He said a weak seasonal low lies over northern parts of Balochistan, while a shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country, which is likely to affect upper parts of the country during the next two to three days to cause rainfall.
The weatherman said mainly hot and humid weather was likely to happen in most parts of the country but rain coupled with wind and thunderstorm was expected in isolated places of KP and AJK. Meanwhile, the weather turned windy and overcast in Islamabad and Rawalpindi in the afternoon and remained so until night.
