An additional district and sessions court Wednesday awarded seven months imprisonment to a drug pusher, Asif Masih.
The court imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on the convict. In case of default in payment of the fine, the convict will face one month more jail term. Bhatti Gate police had arrested Asif with 300 grams of hashish. Later, the police submitted challan before the court declaring Asif guilty of drug trafficking.
custody: An additional district and sessions court Wednesday directed the SHO concerned to recover a boy from the illegal custody of his father and hand him over to his mother. Ayesha Mehmood of Aiwan Town had filed a habeas corpus petition before the court contending that she had married Ihsan Ali a few years back. She said she gave birth to his son Asif Mehmood. However, a few months back her husband started to torture and abuse her due to which she started to live with her parents, she added.
