Shocking details emerge in Martin Short’s daughter Katherine's death investigation: 'Kept to herself'
Martin Short’s daughter Katherine passed away at the age of 42 on Monday evening, February 23
A note suicide note has been discovered in the death of Martin Short’s daughter Katherine Elizabeth Short.
On Monday evening, February 23, Katherine was discovered lifeless at her residence in Hollywood Hills, California, from a "self-inflicted" gunshot wound.
After a friend of hers informed authorities to check her whereabouts, as she had not been replying to texts and calls for 24 hours, authorities reached her home and discovered her dead body behind a bedroom door with a note and a gun nearby.
Following the investigation, Homicide detectives dismissed the possibility of “foul play.”
Radar has received a dispatch audio which pictures the moment when Los Angeles Fire deputies told the person, who inquired about Katherine’s safety, about being with the patient but they could not access the bedroom.
In the audio, one responder said the incident was “self-inflicted.”
Notably, the details of the note have not yet been shared but Katherine’s mental health had suffered in the past, as she went into rehab several times before her death.
One of her neighbours also revealed that the Only Murders in the Building stars daughter “pretty much kept to herself” as well as had been battling some kind of “physical illness.”
“She must have been in so much anguish to have done this. It's just so sad,” said the neighbour.
