Megan Thee Stallion's latest hospitalization echoes 2020 shooting trauma
Megan Thee Stallion's previous hospitalization in 2020 had given her trauma
Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to the hospital after falling ill during Moulin Rouge! The Musical, a show on Broadway.
Her rep tells Variety, “During Tuesday night’s production, Megan started feeling very ill and was promptly transported to a local hospital, where her symptoms are currently being evaluated. We will share additional updates as more information becomes available.”
While admitting to the hospital, it sparked a fresh worry in fans after she was hospitalized in 2020 after Tory Lanez, her ex-partner, shot him twice in the feet.
Initially, Stallion revealed she gave false testimony to protect the rapper, telling the authorities she stepped on glass.
However, a month later, after the incident, she went on Instagram Live to drop the bombshell that it was Lanez who shot her.
“You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying," she said at the time.
Two years later, in an interview with Rolling Stone, she recalled the details of her recovery.
"I was in New York for a while. Both of my legs wrapped up. I could not walk. I still have bullet fragments in my feet right now."
"I was very scared that I was not able to be Megan Thee Stallion no more. And I was f***** up."
The Wanna Be hitmaker revealed she learned to walk again by taking physical therapy in New York and Tampa.
For shooting Stallion, Lanez was sentenced to a decade in 2023.
