Zendaya opens up about her first meeting with Tom Holland
Zendaya has opened up about her first meeting with Tom Holland, revealing it was the moment she realized that The Odyssey actor was "her person."
During a recent appearance on The New York Times' Modern Love podcast, the 29-year-old actress reflected on her first memories of Tom when they met to screen test for their 2017 film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.
"I knew this is my person because I don’t feel nervous around them,” she said of Tom. “I feel really peaceful, and I feel really calm like, oh, I actually feel more nervous when I’m away from you than when I’m with you."
Zendaya went on to say that she was "pretty nervous" in her first meeting with Tom because she met the actor during an audition.
When asked if she could describe how the 29-year-old actor "made you feel calm" at the Homecoming screen test.
To which, the actress responded, "Just by being a nice person. By making me feel comfortable. I mean, it’s like having to do a chemistry read for a big movie like that."
"It’s like, oh, you really want the job, and all these kind of things. And yeah, he was really lovely then," she added.
Recently, Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach, claimed that the couple was already married. The hairstylist made the shocking claim while he spoke with a reporter at the 2026 Actor Awards on March 1.
However, Tom and Zendaya have yet to confirm whether they are married.
