At last better sense prevailed after days of strained and tense relations between Pakistan and India in the form of the revival of Track-II dialogue. After India’s jingoism, the two countries should now move forward towards resolving all outstanding issues, including Kashmir, and give peace a chance for regional stability. In this regard the meeting of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with his Indian counterpart on the sidelines of the SCO summit was also a positive step.
We have always supported the dialogue process and good relations with India and on its part New Delhi should also do the same instead of sabotaging peace efforts due to its sensitivity to the Kashmir issue. It is time the two neighbouring countries quit the path of conflict. It would be better to focus on other mutual problems like poverty and education.
