Amazing pace

This refers to the news report, ‘PM, other officials to address in country and abroad in Urdu’ (July 11). By declaring Urdu as the official language, it has taken us 42 years to implement Article 251 of the constitution. The period defined in the article was 15 years.
If this is the pace to implement/enforce important clauses of the constitution we will well take over a hundred years to fully and fairly work and act according to the constitution. On the other hand, our parliamentarians deserve kudos for passing and bulldozing constitutional amendments in minutes.
