Approval accorded to setting up of Special Branch Intelligence School

The Sindh police approved a proposal on Tuesday to establish a Special Branch Intelligence School.
The approval came at a high-level meeting chaired by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ghulam Hyder Jamali at the Central Police Office (CPO).
The meeting reviewed matters pertaining to the Special Branch and accorded approval to a number of other recommendations to improve the organisational structure of the department.
The proposals okayed by the meeting were presented by the additional inspector general of the Special Branch, AD Khwaja.
IGP Jamali stressed the need for providing modern and quality training to the staff of the Special Branch.
The meeting was told that in Punjab the Intelligence Bureau was conducting special training courses.
The IGP ordered the collection of information on such training courses and steps for their implementation so that the task of intelligence collection could be improved and made effective.
Khwaja said the record pertaining to the branch was being computerised.
The meeting was also informed that the Forms Registration Cell was being computerised for the arrival and departure of foreigners in Karachi. The IGP directed that trained staff should be deployed for achieving that task.
