Widespread thundershower with scattered heavy falls is expected in the provincial metropolis during the next 48 hours that may generate urban flooding.
Seasonal low lies over north Balochistan with its trough extending southeastwards. Monsoon currents are penetrating into central and upper parts of the country and expected to strengthen and continue during next few days.
In the next 24 hours, widespread rain-thundershower is expected in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Hazara Divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir. Scattered heavy falls are expected in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur and Okara districts.
Rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places in Sargodha, Sahiwal, Malakand, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions, FATA, while at isolated places in Faisalabad, Multan, D.G. Khan, Dera Ismail Khan, Zhob divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The maximum temperature in the city on Monday was 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 26 while the maximum in the country was 43 degrees at Dalbandin. The city received rain at scattered places on Monday.
