MULTAN: The City District Government Friday imposed section 144 and completely banned incinerating and throwing garbage outside buildings.
The Punjab government directed the CDG to restrict spread of waste material and garbage in the city.
Multan Solid Waste Management Company chairman Rayee Mansab Ali in a press conference said, throwing waste and garbage outside commercial and residential buildings has been banned and violators would face action.
He also warned sellers and buyers of garbage.
Managing Director Ahmed Shehryar said the Solid Waste Company has inked a contract with a private cement factory for selling the waste.
He said 5,000 ton waste is removed from Union Council 45 under ‘Operation Combing’, saying that more than 300 workers and heavy machinery took part in the operation.
