Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr Farrukh Javed has said that all the public representatives and officials are visiting Ramazan Bazaars for providing relief to the masses.
Paying surprise visits to different Ramazan Bazaars of Okara, Sahiwal and Arifwala, the minister said that large numbers of people were getting the benefit of subsidy given to Ramazan Bazaars. He said the Ramazan Bazaars of the province were being monitored regularly. He said the government had transformed the Ramazan bazaars into ideal markets through better management and continuous monitoring.
He instructed the administration to make special arrangements for ladies and senior citizens at the Ramazan bazaars. He said the provincial ministers and other senior officials were monitoring the Ramazan Bazaars all over the province.
Dr. Farrukh Javed instructed the administration to ensure proper cleanliness of the bazaars to provide best atmosphere to the citizens.
The minister for agriculture checked the quality of food items and inquired from the consumers about the prices. He said the food items and other commodities were available at lower prices in Ramazan Bazaars than open markets.
He instructed the price control magistrates to take stern action against holders and profiteers in the open markets as well. He directed the administration and staff to work wholeheartedly during this holy month as it was not just a duty but an act of worship as well.
