LAHORE
CIA Sadar Police claimed to have arrested a man involved in the sale of illegal sophisticated weapons and recovered huge cache of weapons from his custody.
A case has also been registered against accused Munir Ahmad. He was arrested from Manga Mundi. DSP CIA Anwar Kingra has recovered a 44-bore gun, two 12-bore rifles, one 7mm-rifle, six pistols and live bullets.
TRAFFIC: Chief Traffic Officer Tayyab Hafeez Cheema visited rush areas and major roads of the City to review flow of traffic. He appealed to the citizens to show patience before Iftar to avoid traffic mess. He directed officers to personally visit rush areas to keep the morale of wardens high. CTO directed the wardens to behave with citizens politely.
ACCIDENTS: At least 515 accidents were reported in Rescue 1122 Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 36 Districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which four lives were lost during these traffic accidents in different districts of Punjab and 437 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant district.
