Tax inspector held for corruption

GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Corruption Establishment on Tuesday arrested a tax inspector for taking Rs 10,000 bribe from a citizen. Mushtaq Ali gave an application to the ACE stating that accused tax inspector Iqbal was demanding bribe from him. After taking approval from the competent authority, ACE circle officer Amir Hussain raided and arrested the accused tax inspector red-handed when he was taking bribe from the complainant.

VALUABLES GUTTED: Valuables were gutted when a gas cylinder exploded in a sweet shop at Shaheenabad on Tuesday. The workers were present in the shop when suddenly a gas cylinder exploded. As a result, fire erupted in the shop and reduced a motorcycle and other valuables into ashes.
