The Sindh Rangers on Tuesday claimed to have arrested an MQM-London man, who is suspected of being involved in operating an extortion gang, in a raid in Landhi.
The Rangers spokesman said Tashfeen Ali was incharge of the party’s Unit-86. The suspect has admitted to extorting traders and factory owners from markets and industrial areas of Landhi and Korangi on the orders of Landhi sector incharge Manzoor, alias Lamba.
He also admitted to constituting seven polls of the gang in the Landhi unit, with each poll consisting of eight to 10 activists. He said he had been working on reforming the party.
