The rupee lost three paisas to close at 101.76 against the dollar in the interbank market on Thursday as compared to the previous closing of 101.79.
By and large, the rupee was steady in the interbank foreign exchange trade owing to smooth supply of the greenback in the market, dealers said.
In the open market, the rupee was traded at 101.60 and 101.80 for buying and selling against the greenback.
