KP cabinet to hold meeting in Mohmand on 15th
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet would meet in Mohmand district on April 15. Official sources said arrangements are being finalised for the cabinet meeting in Ghallanai, the headquarters of Mohmand district. Chief Minister Mahmood Khan would preside over the meeting. The provincial ministers and senior civil officers would attend the meeting.
The agenda for the meeting would likely include issues concerning the former Fata, which was merged with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in May last year. The first provincial cabinet meeting in ex-Fata was held at Landikotal in Khyber district on January 31.
The meeting was termed historic as it was affirmation of the fact that Fata was now part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The PTI government in the province has been focusing on completing the merger by taking steps to introduce the policing and judicial system and extending the reforms to the merged tribal districts.
