PESHAWAR: The police on Monday recovered four people kidnapped for ransom and arrested two alleged kidnappers during a raid in Chamkani.
An official said the recovered men included two persons from Punjab, Qurban and Zahir Akhtar while two were locals identified as Mohammad Rahman and Asif.
The kidnapped persons were chained by the captives in a house on GT Road.
Police said two kidnappers including the owner of the house Imran and Said Mat Khan were arrested. Raids were being carried out for the arrest of their accomplices.
Criminals have rented houses in the provincial capital to dodge police and run their gangs from there.
This is not for the first time that kidnapped persons have been recovered from a house in Chamkani.
