Fake accounts case: Pakistan seeks Canada’s help to get Kidwai repatriated
ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has sought Canadian authorities’ help to get repatriated one of prime accused of fake accounts case who has now become an epic center of National Accountability Bureau's investigation, informed officials said on Friday.
“We through concerned authorities [FIA & JIT] have sought help of Canada for repatriation of Younas Kidwai. He [Kidwai] holds Canadian nationality,” a senior official of NAB told this correspondent.
According to fake accounts JIT confidential volume 25, Kidwai is the central character who through fake accounts sent huge amount of embezzled abroad, added the official who is a part of NAB Combined Investigation Team. Kidwai employed more than a dozen “cash boys” who were used to deposit estimated Rs3 billion into fake accounts case, he added.
