Protesting teachers
April 01, 2019
How can our society progess when we can’t even bear the protest of teachers? The treatment that was meted out to the teachers of Sindh last Thursday in Karachi was deplorable. They were only protesting for their rights. Riot police fired tear gas, hit them with batons and opened water cannons on the teachers. This is the second incident of its kind in which the Sindh government has shown it’s tyrannical face. Such actions against the peaceful assembly of people is intolerable. The protest could have been handled peacefully. I urge the PPP chairman to take notice of this shameful show of high-handedness by the Sindg government.
