CHAKWAL: Muhammad Naveed, a soldier who was martyred while fighting terrorists in Wana, was buried at his ancestral graveyard at Laphi village on Tuesday.
Muhammad Naveed (23), son of Ch Khan, was martyred when he was fighting terrorists in Wana. Scores of people from various walks of life attended his funeral prayers. Later, he was buried with full military honour at his ancestral graveyard. The martyred soldier had contracted marriage just three months ago.
‘PROTECTION OF PEOPLE’S LIFE PRIME DUTY OF POLICE’: RPO Wasal Fakhar Sultan has said that the protection of people’s life and property is the prime duty of police.
He was addressing a Police Darbar at the District Police Lines here on Tuesday. The RPO had visited the city first time after assuming his new office. The RPO said that the policemen must behave politely with the people and every complaint filed in the police stations must be treated on merit. He asked the cops to ensure rule of law to safe people. DPO Moeen Masood briefed the RPO about the law and order situation in Chakwal district and told him that law and order situation in the district was quite under control and no major terrorism incident was occurred in Chakwal district for the last two years. The RPO also inspected police stations and later chaired a high level meeting of the police officers at the DPO office.
