Islamabad : The Islamabad Marriott Hotel has opened its doors to a new art gallery by the name of Artcade with Zainab Omar being its founder and curator.
Zainab told 'The News' that Artcade and the Islamabad Marriott Hotel were committed to supporting and promoting Pakistani arts and artisans, particularly young emerging artists by making their work more accessible to a diverse local and international public and thus, encouraging and promoting contemporary artists and increasing the visibility of previously undiscovered artists.
"Sourcing artwork from all over Pakistan, Artcade will exhibit original works of art where each art piece showcased has been carefully selected to ensure that what is being presented is the best of the next generation of Pakistani artists. It is the mission of the gallery to promote visual arts and educate the local audience about emerging Pakistani talent and the unique styles and movements that exist in the local art world," she said.
The gallery founder said she knew amazing artists and over the years, many of them had asked her to help them promote their work.
“Our goal is to place our artists’ work in a wide range of public and private collections,” she said.
Zainab said Artcade would be the most active art gallery of the city serving innovative artists space where aesthetic art forecasts were felt.
The visitors appreciated the development and said they hoped that the gallery would help promote art and artists.
