No compromise on corruption, says Babar
ISLAMABAD : Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) and former Law Minister Babar Awan has said that there will be no compromise on the issues related to people involved in corruption and facing trials in a court of law.
Talking to Supreme Court reporters here in a reception, he hosted in their honour, the former law minister said that political cases were initiated during the past regimes; however, he said the PTI government will not interfere in any institutions of the country for taking these cases to logical conclusion.
"Pakistan has faced great loss due to the big people pardoned for their crimes, allowing them to leave the country and spared," Babar Awan said.
He, however, said whosoever facing cases, should contest their cases in accordance with law, and if there are no allegations against them, should establish that they are innocent.
He said today the nation will be celebrating the solidarity day in a new environment as new opportunities have come for Pakistan saying those anti-Pakistan lobbies that doubts that Pakistan is weaker in the region, the picture became clear to them after Abhi Nandhan saga. Pakistan being the nuclear state has full capabilities of defending its frontiers from aggression having a strong army and after all lively nation that cannot be defeated.
Babar Awan lauded the professional capabilities of Supreme Court reporters in discharging their duties while covering court proceedings.
