DC leads cleanliness awareness walk

Rawalpindi : RWMC and Albayrak, on the 5th day of ‘Pakistan Zindabad Cleanliness Week’ under Clean & Green Punjab Programme, installed cleanliness awareness camp outside the DC office where Deputy Commissioner Ch. Mohammad Ali Randhawa also lead an awareness walk and stated that the participation of citizens have made this campaign successful, says a press release.

He also acknowledged the efforts of RWMC & Albayrak in order to keep the city clean & educating public about sanitation. We must keep our city clean as we keep our house clean because it is our duty, he added. The purpose of initiating this campaign is that cleanliness is important to remain safe from diseases.

Moreover, plant saplings, waste bags and leaflets were also distributed among general public & Civil Defense members. DC Rawalpindi also planted saplings in Muslim Secondary High School, Saidpur. Sanitary workers deployed for this campaign are continuously performing their duties in different time shifts.

Communications teams are heading from door to door, markets, educational institutes and educating the public about sanitation and engaging them in hand washing activities.

On the fifth day of the Pakistan Zindabad Cleanliness Week, awareness camps are continued to be installed where hundreds of people are making visits, receiving waste bags and participating in hand washing activities.

Communications Teams of RWMC and Albayrak visited the mosques in all UCs to educate the people about practicing cleanliness and hygiene rules in daily life. Khateebs and Ulemas were insisted that during their sermons they must deliver the message of cleanliness in the light of Quran and Sunnah among the general public.
