Shaukat Khanum Hospital holds symposium
LAHORE: Department of Pharmaceutical Services SKMCH&RC organised first ‘International Medication Safety Symposium’ at a local Hotel.
Over 400 participants including doctors from various hospitals, nurses, representative from pharmacy industry, drug regulatory authority and multidisciplinary fields of medicine attended the event. National and international speakers delivered thought provoking talks on medication safety issues of the current age.
The symposium had a rich experience and expertise lineup with speakers including Senator Dr Musadiq Malik and other notables. Dr Aasim Yusuf, Chief Medical Officer SKMCH&RC, delivered welcome address and talked about objectives and importance of the symposium.
It is pertinent to mention that SKMCH&RC has a state-of-the-art pharmacy department, connected with a modern Hospital Information System (HIS). The hospital has established a foolproof medication delivery procedure to minimise the chances of mistake and to insure maximum patient safety in this regards.
