Cases against PPP workers condemned
CHITRAL: The activists of Pakistan People’s Party condemned the government for registering false cases against the party leaders.
Engr Fazle Rabbi Jan, Alamzeb Advocate and others were addressing a press conference at the Chitral Press Club. Amirullah, Qazi Faisal, Shamsur Rahman and others said the nation was united against Indian aggression but the government changed the situation by victimising political opponents through various tactics.
“The cases against PPP leaders were shifted to Islamabad just to harass them,” said one of the leaders.
They also criticised the arrest of party workers in Islamabad, saying that such tactics could not deter them from staging a protest for their rights.
They said the PPP workers were united and would stand by the party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari through thick and thin.
They sought quashing of cases against the party leaders and release of the party workers forthwith.
