A passing out parade of aero apprentices was held at the PAF Base, Korangi Creek on Friday with Air Vice Marshal Farooq Habib, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training), presiding as chief guest.
A total of 239 aero apprentices, including personnel from friendly countries and the Pakistan Navy, successfully completed the technical training and awards for top performers were distributed at the ceremony. The Asghar Khan Trophy for the Best in Aeronautics Technology was awarded to Aircraftman Junaid Hassan; Nur Khan Trophy for the Best in Avionics Technology was awarded to Aircraftman Basit Ali; Base Commander Trophy for the Best in General Service Training was awarded to Aircraftman Wing Sergeant Muzammil Abbas; and Chief of the Air Staff Trophy for the Overall Best Performance was awarded to Aircraftman Junaid Hassan.
Addressing the apprentices, Air Vice Marshal Habib said, “The Pakistan Air Force is a highly professional force that is committed to provide an invincible defense shield for the country's aerial frontiers. In order to meet all security challenges, the PAF has taken bold decisions to induct hi-tech weapons systems. However, such developments call for a complete transformation and necessitate incorporation of a corresponding concept of maintenance in the PAF and we aim to ensure such balance through professional excellence and quality training.”
