Nikola Vucevic heads back to Orlando Magic after rejecting lucrative offers
Nikola Vucevic has been a durable and bankable player for most of his career
Nikola Vucevic, a star basketballer, had a stunning time when he was with the Orlando Magic.
He played for the team for almost nine seasons.
Now, as a free agent, Vucevic reportedly decided to return home.
According to ESPN, the veteran center has inked a one-year deal worth $3.9 million to return to the Orlando Magic.
Despite lucrative offers from other teams, reports note, Vuciec opted for the team he played for years.
In Magic, he became the franchise’s beloved star after arriving from the Philadelphia 76ers in 2012.
Yet, Vucevic’s latest reported move comes on the heels of his ending the season with the Boston Celtics after being traded from the Chicago Bulls.
For the Celtics, the basketball player added depth to the team’s frontcourt.
He averaged 6.2 points and 4.3 rebounds in postseason games.
Vucevic, meanwhile, is one of the league's bankable players.
For example, over his career, he hit at least one 3-pointer in each of the last nine seasons.
Moreover, the Orlando Magic has also kept veteran guard Jevon Carter on a one-year, $3.5 million deal.
