KARACHI: While Quetta Gladiators skipper Sarfraz Ahmed expects to get the support of fans in Karachi, which is his own city, Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy has appealed to the Karachiites to come to the National Stadium wearing his team's yellow jersey.

The teams' jerseys are selling like hot cakes in the city.

Since Karachi is the hometown of Quetta captain Sarfraz, his team is the favourite among the Karachiites. But there is no lack of Peshawar Zalmi’s fans in the city as a large chunk of the city's population is from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa where the side is based.

Meanwhile, all is set for the PSL final. Security has been further beefed up as many VVIPs are to witness the match. It could not be learnt who would be the chief guest. The PSL final will start at 8pm, following a colourful closing ceremony.

Famous Spanish footballer Carlos Puyol, who arrived in the city on Saturday, will also see the final, said PCB officials.

Groups of young friends and families are expected to throng the stadium to see the PSL final. Cricket fans from other cities are also expected to come to see the match.

The PCB officials have appealed to the spectators to cooperate with the security personnel and reach the stadium in time.

The Sindh government and city administration officials have been directed to remain alert to prevent any traffic chaos, which has troubled the citizens in the past few days.
